Board of Advisors
Written by Administrator
Until 2004, the Center is governed by a Board of Advisors consisting of leading academics, educators and opinion makers in Israel and abroad, it's founding chair being the renown educator Dr. Moshe Carem, who was succeeded by Professor Menachem Kellner, from the Dept. of  Jewish Thought at the University of Haifa.

In 2004, Rabbi Dr. Robert Samuels, who lead the Leo Baeck Education Center with great distinction for three decades, agreed to accept the chairmanship of a reconstituted board whose task is to work with the Center's leadership and staff to position the Center as an international leader in educational thought and practice.  Rabbi Samuels' other leadership roles include:  chairman of the board of  Leo Baeck; board member of Nisan -Leadership for Young Jewish and Arab Women; board member of Rabbis for Human Rights; board member of the National Committee For Ethiopian Jewry; chairman of the committee for the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism.  Rabbi and Mrs. Samuels have adopted several families from Ethiopia.  Their own three children have given the Samuels nine grandchildren, all in Israel.
